My favorite fly

My favorite fly is a royal coachman bucktail. Where I fish I think a dry fly works best, the fish seem to love this pattern. This fly has also been in my family for a long time. It is very easy to tie, and works better than any other fly I have fished on this river. The river I fish is located in Eastern Oregon. Another fly I enjoy fishing with is an Hallock killer. It was developed by Blaine Hallock around the mid-1900’s. He fished Eagle Creek and worked with different patterns to see what worked best. He finally developed the Hallock killer. Blaine Hallock was a fly tier and was a great fly fisherman. I now tie the Hallock killer, and it is one of the simplest flies I have tied. Both of these flies will be available to buy on our website.
